Chatelaine launches coffee line

The Rogers Media title is expanding its brand with a new line of coffee that will be available at Longo's supermarkets in the Greater Toronto Area.

Rogers Media’s Chatelaine is moving its content beyond the usual publishing platforms and into a new one, coffee mugs, with the launch of Chatelaine Coffee.

The coffee, which will be available at Longo’s locations across the Greater Toronto Area starting today is a organic fair-trade blend created by the Chatelaine Kitchen powered by GE Café. A portion of the proceeds from each bag purchased supports Café Femenino, an initiative that’s dedicated to improving the lives of women in coffee-picking communities across the globe, according to a release on the new product.

Tara Tucker, group publisher, Chatelaine and Canadian Health and Lifestyle at Rogers Media, tells MiC the product launch is the first in a line of planned offerings from the magazine, with more coming in the new year.

The coffee is available in a duo pack, with a tin of coffee and a travel mug for $19.99 and a triple pack with two tins of coffee and a coffee grinder for $34.99.
