MediaCom appoints global head of mobile
MediaCom has added the position of global head of mobile to its ranks, hiring Ben Phillips to the new job.
Phillips comes to the media agency from mobile demand-side platform Adloqi, where he worked as commercial director.
In his new role at MediaCom, Phillips will work with the agency’s local teams to define best practices for mobile across the company. According to a release his initial focus will be on working on mobile strategy directly with clients, including identifying ways to exploit the strengths of mobile for always-on campaigns.
Overall, MediaCom’s mobile billings grew by more than 117% in 2013, led by growth in markets where the agency has specialty mobile divisions, including the UK, Germany and India. The goal of bringing Phillips on is to bring that level of expertise to the agency’s offices worldwide, according to a release.
Phillips will report to global chief ROI and direct marketing officer David Kyffin.
