CBC nabs new senior creative director from Shaw

Munro Cullen has joined the pubcaster, working on its communications, marketing and brand team.

If you were at the Shaw Media upfronts this spring, you may recall You Gotta Eat Here host John Catucci’s enthusiastic musical ode to the fall TV season as a highlight of the event.

The man behind that clever ditty was Munro Cullen, a former senior copywriter at Shaw Media and head writer for its upfronts, who has been named senior creative director of communications marketing and brand department at the CBC.

Munro had been a senior copywriter with the CBC since 2010, prior to which he worked with CanWest and Alliance Atlantis.

In his new role with the CBC, Cullen will be responsible for building the creative behind marketing pushes for programming on the channel, according to a release on his move to the pubcaster.
