IPG Mediabrands division Orion Capital has announced Sally Preston is joining the company as its president of North America.
Preston comes to the company, which is the division of Orion Holdings that is responsible for making investments across media platforms, from her most recent role as VP and publisher of Real Simple at Time Inc.
In her new role at Orion Capital, Preston will work closely with teams across Canada, the US and Mexico, reporting directly to Patty Norway, worldwide CMO of Orion Holdings. The Canadian team at Orion Capital consists of 10 staffers, according to a representative from IPG Mediabrands.
“The role of the media agency is quickly changing and now, more than ever, there is an opportunity to join forces with our media partners to create solutions that benefit advertising budgets,” said Preston in a release. “It’s not about creating deals; it’s about creating value. The more we collaborate with our media partners, the more we innovate and deliver value to our clients.”
