CBS Outdoor rebrands as Outfront Media
The new name comes after a year of major change at the company.
CBS Outdoor Americas announced on Monday it is changing its name to Outfront Media Inc., kicking off a process that will see it rebrand more than 100,000 displays.
On Nov. 20 it will change its presence online and on the New York Stock Exchange, where it will trade under the ticker symbol “OUT.”
The rebrand comes after a series of changes for the company, including the acquisition in October of outdoor assets from New York-based Van Wagner, separating in July from CBS Corporation and converting to a REIT, as well as its initial public offering in March.
The Canadian branch of the company is included in the rebrand. It was recently awarded the contract to run digital advertising at RioCan Yonge Eglinton Centre, an upgraded shopping mall in uptown Toronto.
In addition to a new brand, the company is introducing a consumer focus group service, Outfront Insiders, that will share insights on emerging trends and topics, as well as Outfront Studio, an in-house creative studio.
