Livia Zufferli joining Rogers
Target's VP of marketing is headed to the telco later this month as an SVP.
Target’s VP of marketing Livia Zufferli is headed to Rogers Communications.
Zufferli joined Target in April 2012 to help launch the retailer as it entered the Canadian market. Though Target has struggled in Canada, receiving criticism for its product selection and pricing with sales goals falling flat, Zufferli’s been praised for its high-octane debut, picking up stratetgy’s Marketer of the Year title in 2013.
She joins the telco as its SVP for the Rogers brand starting Nov. 24, heading up the brand portfolio and overseeing cross-brand integration and planning.
Zufferli started her career on the consultancy side, working at Monitor Group, before moving to Shoppers Drug Mart, where she held progressively more senior roles, leaving as the director of marketing strategy. She shifted over to the agency side, most recently acting as partner at Capital C (now merged with KBS).
In May, Target named Mark Schindele as its new president, replacing Tony Fisher, ushering in a new management team at the retailer. Globally, Gregg Stenhafel departed his role as CEO, replaced with interim CEO John Mulligan, the company’s CFO.
