Sears buys the top: Media Monitors

The retailer bought the most radio advertising for the week of Nov. 21 to 27.

Sears bought the most radio advertising in Toronto and Montreal for the week of Nov. 21 to 27, according to the latest Media Monitors report.

The result marks the second week the retailer has been at the top of the chart in both cities.

In Toronto, the Honda Dealer Association stayed at #2 for the second straight week, with the Acura Dealer Association following at #3.

The only movement in the top five came from McDonald’s, which jumped to #4 from #52. OLG Slots and Casinos followed at #5, rounding out the top of the list for the week.

The story was a bit different in Montreal, where new entries ruled the top of the chart. It was Virgin Mobile joining the chart at #2, Bell at #3 and CraveTV at #4. McDonald’s was the only existing company on the chart, moving up to #5 this week from #38 last week.
