As film fans descend on Toronto in a mad dash to procure last-minute tickets to TIFF screenings, Twitter has also announced a slate of live programming related to the festival.

For 10 days, the official TIFF Twitter account will showcase live programming including red carpet footage, interviews with film stars and press conference footage.

Besides TIFF, ET Canada will also create exclusive live broadcasts for Twitter. Every day from Sept. 7 to 11, the ET Canada official account will live-stream red carpet broadcasts on Twitter. ET Canada‘s behind-the-scenes footage will be sponsored by festival sponsor Nespresso, which will post highlights under the hashtag #NespressoTIFF.

Besides the Nespresso sponsorship, the various TIFF live streams will be supported by preroll advertisements.

This is in addition to ET Canada‘s already-announced Twitter programming slate. The twice-weekly show #TrendingTonight premiered last month and features the stars of ET Canada discussing the biggest trends and social movements on the platform.

In addition to live footage, TIFF will also post dedicated Twitter Moments dedicated to the festival’s top films. Twitter Moments have previously been used to promote Canadian events such as the Junos (sponsored by TD), the Rio Olympics (sponsored by Sport Chek) and the reality series Big Brother Canada (sponsored by Wendy’s).
