Mike Evans has joined adtech services vendor Adglow as its new Canadian country manager.

Evans spent the last two years at Verizon Media (formerly Oath) where he acted as sales director. Prior to his time at Oath, he spent more than a decade on the sell side of media, working with Shaw, Bell Media, Pound Magazine and others.

Adglow is currently embarking on a mandate to grow its presence in the Canadian market after opening a Toronto office in 2017. Evans tells MiC that although the office remains small – besides him, there are two digital strategists in the office – the company is looking to staff up in 2019.

Its main specialty is creating solutions for advertisers to optimize spend across digital and social platforms such as Facebook, Snapchat, Pinterest, Instagram Twitter and Amazon. It was one of the first Canadian adtech companies to partner with Pinterest in order to bring its promoted Pins product to Canadian advertisers. It’s an accredited API partner with all six of the aforementioned platforms.

Although Adglow would not divulge specific figures, it said the last two years have seen steady increases in revenue in the Canadian market.
