BBM radio survey reveals who’s up and who’s down in ratings race

It may be cold outside but the race for radio ratings is as hot as ever according to the new BBM numbers released yesterday.

Toronto: Erin Davis is back and CHFI-FM jumped from 6.4% share to a 9.0% share of hours tuned for A12+, leaving them nipping at the heels of CHUM-FM (which delivered a 9.1% share up from 7.8%) for the number one position in the market. EZRock slipped back just a bit, posting a still substantial 7.9% share of A12+ and a 12.5% share for F25-54. CHUM-FM held onto the number one position for F25-54 with a 16.8% share (up from 15.9%). Q107 retained the #1 spot for males 25-54, posting a 13.5% share, up from a 10.8% share last time out. The Edge remained number one with M18-34, delivering a 14.9% share (up from 14.4%).

Vancouver: CKNW extended their lead, remaining number one with a 14.8% share of A12+ (up from 12.1%). 103.5 QM-FM retained the top F25-54 spot with a 14.5% share (down from 15.5%). Gold for M25-54 goes to 96.9 JACK-FM with a 12.8% share followed closely by Rock 101 at 12.2%. The FOX stays on top with M18-34, delivering a 17.9% share of hours tuned for that demo.

Winnipeg: CJOB is cruising, bumping up its lead with a 20.4% share (up from 17.2% share) of hours tuned for A12+. 92 CITI-FM reclaims its number one spot with M25-54, posting with a 15.6% share (up from 13.7%) of hrs. tuned. The F25-54 race goes to Q 94-FM with a 13.1% share (up from 8.2%).

Montreal: 105.7 Rythme FM fell back a bit, but still leads the way with 10.1% (down from 12.1%) share of hours tuned (A12+) in addition to remaining numero uno with F25-54, delivering an imposing 16.3% share (down from 19.7%). Energie 94.3 takes top spot with M25-54, posting a 16.6% share of hours tuned.

Calgary: Country 105 climbed back on top for A12+ with a 13.7% (up from 13.3%) share of hours tuned. It was a very tight race for F25-54 lead by Country 105 with an 18.7% share, followed closely by Lite 96 (18.1% up from 12.7) and 96.9 JACK-FM (17.7%) M25-54 is also a close race with CJAY 92 at 14.9% (down from 16.4%) followed by JACK-FM 14.7% down from 16.6%).

Edmonton: CHED leads the way, bouncing back to a 12.0% share of A12+, up from 10.4% last time out. EZRock tops the list for F25-54 with a 17.7% share (up from 17.3%) and 97.3 K-Rock is tops with M25-54, delivering a 17.6% share (down from18.8%).

Ottawa-Hull: CHEZ 106 jumps up to the number one position with a 10.3% share of hours tuned for A12+. CHEZ 106 also leads the way with M25-54, delivering 15.1% share of hours tuned. For F25-54, Rock Détente 94.9 Gatineau is on top with a15.1% share (up from 13.4%).
