Law firm nabs naming rights for ACC’s executive suites

Global biggie Ogilvy Renault breaks law protocol in sporty new media play.

Ogilvy Renault, a business law firm with more than 400 lawyers, offices in Montréal, Ottawa, Québec, Toronto and London (UK), and operations in more than 120 countries worldwide, has taken the highly unusual step of acquiring naming rights for executive suites at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre from Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment.

Ogilvy Renault first raised legal-eagle eyebrows in 2004, when it became the first Canadian law firm to have high profile signage at Air Canada Centre in 2004. In addition to corporate titling of the 200 Level Executive Suites, Ogilvy Renault will be profiled in advertising opportunities with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors, and the ACC, including a rotational rink board as well as courtside and LED signage.
