Here are the national winners according to BBM/Nielsen – Jan. 22-28.

Monday: Global’s Prison Break (#10) beat CTV’s Corner Gas (#11) by a nose-hair or two in Monday’s 8 pm time slot, with each show raking in more than 1.4 million viewers nationally. The highest numbers of the night, an average minute audience of 2.7 million, went to CSI Miami (#4).

Tuesday: CTV’s American Idol (#3) at reeled in slightly less viewers on for Tuesday’s 8 pm time slot than it did the next night, but it still topped the list for the second weeknight. Global’s House (#16) earned more than 1.2 million in the 9 pm time slot.

Wednesday: CTV’s American Idol (#2) took Wednesday night’s 8 pm time slot with more than three million viewers. The highest ranking rival net competing for that air time was CBC’s NHL All-Star Game, which attracted 1.2 million.

Thursday: CTV’s CSI (#1) at 9 pm is the week’s reigning champion with the highest recorded audience average: 3,337,000 viewers. The net’s also got a firm hold on the 8 pm time slot with Grey’s Anatomy (#6). And the 10 pm time slot’s also taken by CTV with CSI: Miami.

Friday: CTV Evening News (#7) takes the top Friday night audience, with 1.6 million viewing during the 6 pm timeslot. Global National (#22) attracted more than a million during at 5:30 pm. In dramatic programming, CTV’s Law & Order (#18) took the crown that night with 1,092,000 viewers. CTV’s Ghost Whisperer (#26) almost cracked 950,000 during the 8 pm time slot.

Saturday: CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada (#12) stole the highest audiences for this night, airing from 7 pm to 10 pm and averaging 1.3 million viewers.

Sunday: CTV’s Cold Case (#9) took the highest audience at the week’s end with 1,575,000 viewers in the 8 pm time slot. At 9 pm, CTV’s Law & Order: CI took the second highest. Criminal Minds (#21) delivered another million to CTV at 9 pm. But people still love The Simpsons (#23) on Global – which got more than a million in the 8 pm time slot.
