NYTimes.com, IHT.com choose AOL Canada

The New York Times online reaches more than a million Canadians monthly, and now it's got a sales rep in Canada.

The AOL Canada Media Network announced yesterday it will be the third party online ad sales representative in Canada for the NYTimes.com and the International Herald Tribune (IHT.com). Canadian advertisers will be able to geo-target online ads to reach Canadian visitors, or specifically target American users, at NYTimes.com – which has more than one million Canadian visitors each month. Canada is the New York Times‘s largest international market for online readership. The Times owns the Tribune.

AOL’s network of Canadian sites has a total monthly reach of more than 19 million online Canadians, or about 86% of online Canadians, according to comScore Media Metrix’s Jan. 2007 numbers. The AOL network has partnerships with CBC.ca and CanadianDriver.com.
