Here are the national winners (for all persons 2+, all times ET), according to BBM/Nielsen, for Sept. 17-23, 2007.
News and daily shows: CTV Evening News at 6 pm fell two spots to #6 with an average minute audience of 1.372 million viewers (down from 1.419 million on the previous week’s national chart). The net’s Jeopardy/Access Hollywood at 7:30 pm fell six spots to #14 with 1.006 million (down from 1.14 million). Global National at 5:30 pm fell four spots to #19 with 903,000 (up from 841,000), while News Hour at 6 pm fell four spots to #28 with 790,000 (up from 745,000). CTV National News at 11 pm fell 11 spots to #30 with 773,000 (down from 806,000).
Monday: CTV’s CSI: Miami won the night at 10 pm, stepping up one spot to #5 with 1.416 million viewers (up from 1.313 million). Global’s Prison Break won 8 pm, hitting #5 with 1.4 million against CTV’s CSI: New York, which took #20 with 898,000. CTV’s Corner Gas at 9:30 pm took #18 with 904,000 (down from 1.003 million in the show’s previous 8 pm time slot).
Tuesday: Global’s Big Brother at 9 pm won the night, climbing four spots to #8 with 1.293 million viewers (up from 989,000) against CTV’s Criminal Minds, which hit #16 with 960,000. CTV won 10 pm with Law & Order: SVU, which fell four spots to #12 with 1.151 million (down from 1.288 million).
Wednesday: Global won the night with Back To You in the 8 pm time slot, hitting #9 with 1.234 million viewers. CTV’s CSI: New York at 10 pm fell eight spots to #21 with 898,000 (down from 954,000). The net’s Criminal Minds at 9 pm fell 12 spots to #22 with 888,000 (down from 997,000). Global’s Til Death, following Back To You, hit #23 with 885,000 viewers in the 8:30 pm time slot. Global’s Without a Trace at 10 pm hit #29 with 775,000 viewers.
Thursday: Global’s Survivor: China at 8 pm won the night and took #1 on the chart with 2.43 million viewers against CTV’s CSI, which stayed at #11 with 1.157 million (up from 997,000). CTV’s Grey’s Anatomy at 9 pm fell three spots to #24 with 881,000 (up from 783,000). The net’s ER at 10 pm climbed three spots to #25 with 876,000 viewers against Global’s Shark, which hit #27 with 866,000.
Friday: CTV’s Law & Order at 9 pm hit #13 with 1.023 million viewers. Law & Order: SVU at 10 pm climbed five spots to #17 with 954,000 (up from 773,000).
Saturday: No prime time drama on this chart for Saturday.
Sunday: CTV’s Cold Case won the night against Global’s Family Guy in the 9 pm time slot. Cold Case hit #2 with 1.659 million viewers, while Family Guy edged into #3 with 1.44 million. Global won 8 pm with The Simpsons at #7 with 1.368 million viewers, while King of the Hill at 8:30 pm took #15 with 978,000. Both shows kept the 8 pm hour over CTV’s Desperate Housewives, which hit #26 with 876,000 viewers. CTV’s Law & Order: SVU at 10 pm hit #10 with 1.226 million viewers.
