Here are the national winners (for all persons 2+; all times ET), according to BBM/Nielsen, for Oct. 15-21, 2007.
News and daily shows: CTV Evening News at 6 pm fell three spots to #15 with an average minute audience of 1.459 million viewers (up from 1.407 million on the previous week’s national chart). The net’s Jeopardy/Access Hollywood at 7:30 pm hit #21 with 1.169 million viewers.
Monday: CTV’s CSI: Miami at 10 pm fell two spots to #7 with 2.221 million (up from 2.138 million). The net’s Dancing with the Stars, airing 8-9:32 pm, fell two spots to #8 with 1.784 million (down from 1.801 million), while Corner Gas at 9:32 pm stayed at #18 with 1.294 million (up from 1.24 million). Global’s Heroes at 9 pm fell four spots to #20 with 1.274 million (down from 1.331 million).
Tuesday: CTV’s Law & Order: SVU at 10 pm took the crown for the night, falling one spot to #8 with 1.921 million (up from 1.899 million). Global’s NCIS at 8 pm fell one spot to #11 with 1.73 million (down from 1.744 million), while House at 9 pm fell from its spot at the top of the chart to #13 with 1.6 million (down from 2.993 million). CTV’s Dancing with the Stars at 9 pm stayed at #14 with 1.549 million (up from 1.373 million), while Pushing Daisies at 8 pm climbed five spots to #25 with 1.051 million (up from 896,000).
Wednesday: CTV’s CSI: New York at 10 pm won the night, climbing 12 spots to #3 with 2.471 million (up from 1.348 million). The net’s Criminal Minds at 9 pm hit #5 with 2.23 million (up from 1.649 million in the previous week’s 7 pm time slot). The net’s Private Practice at 8 pm jumped eight spots to #17 with 1.38 million (up from 1.083 million).
Thursday: CTV’s Grey’s Anatomy at 9 pm took #1 with 2.792 million viewers (up from 2.35 million). The net’s CSI at 8 pm stayed at #2 with 2.654 million (up from 2.369 million) against Global’s Survivor: China, which stayed at #4 with 2.261 million (down from 2.315 million). CTV’s ER at 10 pm jumped 15 spots to #9 with 1.815 million (up from 1.106 million) against Global’s Shark, which hit #27 with 1.022 million.
Friday: CTV’s Ghost Whisperer at 8 pm fell two spots to #19 with 1.285 million (down from 1.304 million). Global’s Las Vegas won 10 pm, stepping up one spot to #22 with 1.116 million (down from 1.138 million). CTV’s CSI: New York at 10 pm hit #28 with 995,000 viewers.
Saturday: CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada, airing 7-10:03 pm, fell three spots to #24 with 1.072 million (down from 1.207 million). CTV’s Crimetime Saturday programming at 8 pm hit #26 with 1.041 million, while the net’s W-Five at 7 pm hit #29 with 988,000 viewers.
Sunday: CTV’s Desperate Housewives at 9 pm stayed at #6 with 2.222 million (up from 2.087 million). The net’s Cold Case at 8 pm fell three spots to #12 with 1.677 million (down from 1.761 million). Law & Order: CI at 10 pm capped off a solid night for CTV, falling three spots to #16 with 1.413 million (up from 1.391 million). Global’s Brothers & Sisters at 10 pm fell three spots to #30 with 944,000 viewers (down from 979,000).
