Myers named Starcom’s EVP/MD

The media expert is leaving OMD to work closely with Lauren Richards to strengthen the agency's capabilities.

Starcom MediaVest Group announced yesterday that Anne Myers will become its EVP and managing director on Nov. 26. Reporting to agency CEO Lauren Richards, she will oversee several clients from a corporate perspective, focus on growing digital, research and direct response disciplines and help run the Toronto office.

Myers has been managing director at OMD since 2002, where she established OMD Direct in Canada, and was a member of the executive group, leading teams in traditional, direct and digital media. Prior to that, she served as VP/media director for Omnicom’s Palmer Jarvis DDB for four years, where she established the media group as an integral strategic resource within the newly merged agency and saw the agency through a stream of new business wins. Her client experience includes Unilever, the Canadian Tourism Commission, Compaq, Dell, Pepsi and Subaru.

‘Anne brings with her 25 years of media leadership and client services excellence,’ says Richards. ‘She is a dynamic, get-it-done professional, and her award-winning work, coupled with an enviable track record of innovation and thought leadership, have earned her a reputation for being one of the top talents in this market.’
