News and daily shows: CTV Evening News at 6 pm hit #8 with an average minute audience of 1.431 million viewers (down from 1.467 million on the previous week’s national chart). The net’s Jeopardy/Access Hollywood at 7:30 pm took #17 with 1.082 million (up from 1.041 million). Global National at 5:30 pm hit #21 with 956,000 viewers, while News Hour at 6 pm took #28 with 871,000. The net’s The Young & The Restless at 4:30 pm hit #30 with 845,000 (down from 860,000).
Monday: CTV’s CSI: Miami at 10 pm won the night, hitting #3 with 1.969 million viewers. The net’s Dancing with the Stars, airing 8-10 pm, took #5 with 1.867 million (down from 1.93 million in the previous week’s 9-9:32 pm time slot). Global’s House at 8 pm hit #16 with 1.098 million.
Tuesday: CTV’s American Idol, airing 8-9:31 pm, stayed at #1 with 2.373 million (down from 2.556 million), while Dancing with the Stars at 9:31 pm hit #4 with 1.875 million. At 10:02 pm, the net’s Law & Order: SVU took #15 with 1.132 million (down from 1.428 million). CBC’s Rick Mercer Report at 8 pm hit #26 with 885,000 viewers (down from 1.062 million). Global’s NCIS at 8 pm took #27 with 876,000 (down from 936,000).
Wednesday: CTV’s American Idol at 9 pm stayed at #2 with 2.356 million (up from 2.244 million). The net’s CSI: New York at 10 pm hit #9 with 1.366 million (down from 1.797 million), while The Moment of Truth at 8 pm took #13 with 1.185 million (up from 917,000). Global’s Big Brother at 8 pm hit #29 with 855,000 viewers (down from 884,000).
Thursday: CTV’s CSI at 9 pm hit #6 with 1.641 million viewers (up from the 1.421 million attracted to that time slot for Lost the previous week) against Global’s Celebrity Apprentice, which took #7 with 1.442 million (up from 1.203 million). CTV’s Law & Order: CI at 8 pm hit #10 with 1.278 million against Global’s Deal or No Deal, which took #19 with 1.001 million (up from 880,000). CTV’s Eli Stone at 10 pm hit #23 with 944,000 viewers (up from 850,000).
Friday: No primetime winners to report.
Saturday: CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada Game One, airing 7-10:05 pm, hit #14 with 1.14 million viewers (up from 1.378 million), while Game Two, airing until 1:06 am, took #25 with 914,000 (up from 790,000). CTV’s Saturday-Sunday average for its evening news at 6 pm hit #18 with 1.068 million (up from 883,000). CBC’s Saturday-Sunday curling programming, for 2:30-6:20 pm, took #20 with a 961,000 average.
Sunday: CTV’s Oprah’s Big Give at 9 pm hit #11 with 1.231 million viewers (up from 908,000). The net’s Cold Case at 7 pm took #12 with 1.186 million, while Medium at 8 pm hit #22 and delivered 952,000 viewers. Global’s Family Guy at 9 pm took #24 with 924,000.
