Here are the national winners (for all persons 2+; all times ET), according to BBM/Nielsen, for June 9-15.
News and daily shows: CTV Evening News at 6 pm hit #7 with an average minute audience of 1.202 million viewers (down from 1.227 on the previous week’s national chart).CTV National News at 11 pm took #13 with 879,000 (up from 751,000), while the net’s Jeopardy/Access Hollywood at 7:30 pm hit #14 with 868,000 (down from 1.006 million). Global’s The Young & The Restless at 4:30 pm took #16 with 830,000 (up from 742,000), while Global National at 5:30 pm hit #18 with 713,000 (down from 750,000) and News Hour at 6 pm took #19 with 704,000 (down from 710,000). CBC’s National News at 10 pm hit #24 with 653,000 (up from 640,000). CTV Late News at 11:30 pm took #28 with 571,000 viewers, while Dr. Phil at 5 pm hit #29 with 570,000.
Monday: CTV’s Canadian Idol, on Monday and Tuesday, averaged 1.379 million for the 9 pm time slot, taking #3 on the national chart, against Global’s House, which hit #15 with 855,000 viewers. CTV’s CSI: Miami at 10 pm hit #9 with 1.129 million (up from 1.11 million). Global’s Bones won 8 pm, taking #11 on the chart with 1.006 million (down from 1.007 million), against CTV’s Corner Gas, which hit #22 with 672,000 (up from 610,000) and CBC’s Monday night movie, which took #25 with 649,000 viewers from 8-10 pm.
Tuesday: Aside from Canadian Idol (see Monday), CTV’s Law & Order: SVU at 10 pm hit #6 with 1.226 million (up from 861,000), while The Moment of Truth at 8 pm took #8 with 1.133 million (up from 1.105 million). Global’s NCIS at 8 pm hit #12 with 990,000 (down from 1.17 million). CBC’s Ron James Quest West at 9 pm took #27 with 576,000 viewers.
Wednesday: CTV’s So You Think You Can Dance, airing 8-10 pm, hit #1 with 1.632 million (up from 1.54 million), while the net’s CSI: New York at 10 pm took #4 with 1.347 million (up from 1.248 million).
Thursday: CTV’s So You Think You Can Dance at 9 pm stayed at #2 with 1.386 million (down from 1.638 million). The net’s Million Dollar Password at 8 pm hit #5 with 1.301 million, while Law & Order: CI at 10 pm took #10 with 1.084 million (up from CSI‘s 1.05 million the previous week).
Friday: CTV’s Without a Trace at 10 pm hit #17 with 800,000 (up from 706,000) against Global’s Numb3rs, which took #21 with 676,000 viewers.
Saturday: CTV’s Evening News weekend programming at 6 pm attracted a Saturday-Sunday average of 702,000 viewers (down from 837,000).
Sunday: Global’s Family Guy at 9 pm hit #23 with 670,000 viewers (up from 615,000), while The Simpsons at 8 pm took #30 with 564,000. CBC’s Maria auditions at 8 pm hit #26 with 590,000 viewers.
