Metro, Workopolis partner to offer career services

Canada's most-read free national daily should attract even more eyeballs now that it houses an online portal to assist both job seekers and job posters.

Metro Canada and Workopolis have teamed up to offer Canadians a single portal for career services. Job seekers can now go online to gain access to regional and national job postings, while local employers can extend their reach across the country.

‘This partnership combines the reach of the leading newspaper brand among adults 18-49 and the leading online job site in Canada,’ explains Bill McDonald, publisher of Metro – which offers advertisers such innovative strategies as colourful cover wraps.

All of which means that even more eyeballs will likely be attracted to a chain whose circulation is currently in excess of 815,000, with 3.3 million unique monthly visitors in Canada.
