Hunter Madsen, the former director of marketing for Yahoo Canada, has taken on a new position with Canwest Publishing. Madsen has been appointed to the position of VP digital media for the BC region.

SVP and group publisher for BC Kevin Bent says Madsen will ‘work closely with the publishers to grow the online audiences and revenues of the vancouversun.com, province.com and timescolonist.com websites. This is in line with our commitment to strengthen our leadership position in local digital media.’

Madsen began his career at JWT in New York and went on to become a founding partner in JWT/Interactive in San Francisco.
