More Dore for Comedy

Another 13 half-hours of The Jon Dore Television Show have been ordered, with the same producing team that made season one a success.

The Comedy Network wants more Jon Dore, and has ordered a second season of his reality-ish series.

Work begins this week on another 13 half-hours of The Jon Dore Television Show in Toronto, following the local comic through half-hearted efforts at self-improvement.

The new season is set to air in 2009. Insight’s John Brunton and Barbara Bowlby (Canadian Idol) exec produce, flanked by co-producers Dore and Heather Muir (The Sean Cullen Show). Season one director Matt Hawkins is back behind the camera, joined by the team of Adam Brodie and Dave Derewlany, who helmed the previous run’s webisodes.
