The Secret Millionaire USA is set to debut on Canwest networks and Fox in December. The one-hour reality series is based on the UK’s The Secret Millionaire, wherein a well-heeled individual takes on a secret identity in a fiscally deprived area for 10 days. The misplaced millionaire works and volunteers alongside locals, and must face unfamiliar territory like gang culture and gun crime.
The third series of the UK show had an average of 3.9 million viewers, with a peak at 4.5 million, more than double the audience count compared to the slot average. Canwest will also broadcast the three UK series.
