VisionTV goes Unscripted

The new fall show gives a glimpse into the 'personal and spiritual' lives of celebrities.

VisionTV is debuting a new talk show series next week, featuring in-depth, half-hour interviews with boomer-friendly celebs.

First airing Sept.14 at 10 p.m. ET, Unscripted will feature interviews with such living-room faves as Bob Newhart (Newhart) and Florence Henderson (The Brady Bunch).

The show’s lineup of guests is meant to reflect the familiarity and interests of VisionTV’s target demo, Canadians 45-plus with a female skew, VisionTV spokesperson David Todd tells MiC.

VisionTV is open to sponsorship and integration opportunities with all of its new programming, Todd says, adding that Unscripted will have its own dedicated website also open to advertising. With 104 episodes already commissioned by VisionTV, new episodes of the Canadian-produced program will air Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 10 p.m. ET. Daytime repeats will air Monday to Friday at 4 p.m. ET.

Guests scheduled for the first week include Malcolm Jamal Warner (The Cosby Show) on Sept. 14, Peter Graves (Mission: Impossible, 7th Heaven) on Sept. 15, Olympic athlete Bruce Jenner on Sept. 16, and the Eagles’ Don Felder on Sept. 18.
