VideoEgg rebrands as Say Media

The company has acquired blog platform developer and social media marketing co Six Apart in a deal that will combine the two companies' ad and distribution products.

Online ad network VideoEgg has acquired Six Apart, a blog platform developer and social media seeding network, and rebranded the combined companies as Say Media.

The new company will combine the content distribution and advertising solutions of VideoEgg with Six Apart’s social publishing platform. Through the acquisition, Say Media will now be able to offer ad campaign solutions that span rich media, video and social media marketing. Together, the companies’ online properties reach 16.3 million Canadians, a release on the announcement states, including 2.6 million moms and 3 million kids and teens. The combined reach will vault Say Media into ComScore’s top 100 media properties, the release also noted.

‘Content consumption patterns are being driven by social connections and new types of content creators and aggregators,’ Matt Sanchez, former CEO of VideoEgg and new CEO of Say Media, said in a release. ‘Say Media is designed to meet these new challenges and help advertisers find systemic ways to garner attention.’
