Vizeum wins Sears Canada

The Aegis Media agency has been named MAOR for the retailer following a review.

Sears Canada has named Vizeum Canada its media agency of record following a review of its account which began earlier this spring.

Sears Canada’s media spend was approximately $64 million in 2010, according to Nielsen numbers provided by RECMA and adjusted for the Canadian market. Daily newspaper spend accounted for 35%, TV for 25% and radio for 25%.

The Aegis Media agency won the account following a review that included approximately 30 companies on the long list and 10 on the short list, Chris Bower, divisional VP, One Sears Marketing and Media Planning, Sears Canada, recently told MiC.

Media for Sears Canada was formerly handled by MEC.
