The summer sun is out and things are heating up with the latest PPM radio ratings. Today’s radio release from BBM completes the 13-week period covering Feb. 28 to May 29. This marks the seventh 13-week period in the new era of measurement for Toronto, Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary. Let’s take a look at some of the numbers.
Toronto: Bragging rights at the top of the ratings heap go to CHFI-FM with a 13.6% share of hours tuned for A12+ (down from 14.9% last time out. CHFI-FM remains #1 with women 25-54, posting a 17.1% share (down from 17.8%) followed by CHUM-FM with a 16% share (down from 16.9%).
Q107 is, once again, on top for males 25-54, posting a 13.9% share (up from 12.5% in the last 13-week book). The Edge held their #1 slot with M18-34 turning in a 21.2% share (up from 18.7%). For F18-34, CHFI-FM tops the list posting a 15.9% (up from 15%) share followed closely by CHUM-FM with a 15.5% (down from 15.9%) share of hours tuned.
Vancouver: CKNW holds the #1 spot for A12+ with a 11.6% share of hours tuned (down from 12.4% last time out). Taking the top spot for F25-54 was perennial office station favourite 103.5QM-FM, posting a 12.5% share (down from 13.9%) followed closely by JACK-FM with 12.2% (up from 11.4%).
The Team 1040 vaults into the lead with M25-54 listeners, delivering a 12.2% share (up from 7.5%). The Beat tops the list for M18-34 with 18.0% share of hours tuned (up from 16.5%) followed by the FOX with 13.4% (up from 9.1%). When it comes to females 18-34, the Beat takes top spot with a 14.6% share (down from 19.9%).
Edmonton: 630 CHED rules the roost for A12+ posting a 10.3% share of hours tuned (same as last time out). CISN Country takes top spot for F25-54, delivering an 11.8% share (up from 10.6%). K-97 tops the list for M25-54 with a 10.9% share (up from 9.7%) followed closely by The Bear at 10.4% (down from 12.1%). For M18-34, Sonic 102.9 is out in front with a 17.6% (up from 17.0%) share.
Calgary: QR77 leads the way for A12+ with a 10.2% share (up from 9.6%) followed closely by XL103FM with a 9.9% share (up from 9.7%). 96.9 JACK-FM is popular with the ladies, taking #1 spot for F25-54, delivering an 12.4% share (down from 12.5%). For M25-54, JACK-FM also leads the way with a 12.8% share (up from 11.6%). X92.9 takes top spot for M18-34, posting an 18.1% share (up from 15.4%).
