Fall ratings are beginning to come in, with Tuesday night seeing the first part of the finale of Rogers Media-owned Citytv’s summer reality series America’s Got Talent taking the night, with 1.6 million viewers, according to BBM Canada.
The show beat out its closest competitor for the night, the premiere of CBC’s Rick Mercer Report, which brought in 1.2 million viewers, on par with its 2010 season premiere, according to a CBC release.
Tuesday night also saw the premiere of comedy news show 22 Minutes at 8:30 p.m. on CBC, which brought in 981,000 viewers for the night, up 29% over the season 2010 premiere.
The season premiere of historical drama Camelot at 9 p.m. on CBC brought in an audience of 800,000.
