UM has announced Yin Woon Rani is joining the company as North American president starting Nov. 1.

Rani most recently worked at Grey Worldwide running the GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare team. She takes over from former North American president Jacki Kelley, who was appointed CEO of UM earlier this year.

“What Yin brings to UM North America is exceptional client management skills, the ability to persuade and sell new ideas, a rich balance of strategy and executional excellence and a passion for leading and mentoring teams,” said Kelley in a release.

In the new role, Rani will be responsible for all regional UM operations, including planning and buying across all channels, as well as business development and the oversight of all North American accounts.
