Sears sits steady in the top spot: Media monitors, Jan. 2 to 8

The retailer continued to dominate in radio buys in both Toronto and Montreal.

According to the latest report from Media Monitors, Sears Canada made the highest radio purchase in Toronto and Montreal for the week of Jan. 2 to 8, 2012.

In Toronto, Porter Airlines came in #2 on the list, up from the previous week’s #5 position and Sleep Country Canada jumped a few spots to #3, up from #8.

CBC-TV made its debut to the chart in the #4 spot, as did coffee brands Tim Hortons (#7) and Second Cup (#9). Two noteworthy moves came from Ontario Chevrolet Dealers where it jumped from the #20 spot to #8 and SellOffVacations.com made a bigger purchase than the previous week, taking it from the #65 spot to #10 on the list.

In Montreal, AlarmForce landed in the #2 spot (up from #16) and Brault & Martineau sat in the #3 spot (up from #19).

Tim Hortons and SellOffVacations.com entered the list at #8 and #9, respectively.
