TSN releases CFL plans

The Bell Media channel unveils a new social TV segment and its 77-game schedule leading up to the 100th Grey Cup.

TSN has released its 77-game schedule leading up to the 100th Grey Cup on Nov. 25 at Rogers Centre in Toronto. The Bell Media channel will broadcast the playoffs and Grey Cup, with all games being available on TSN Mobile TV and on demand at TSN.ca.

New for the 2012 season is a segment called Social CFL, which curates social media conversation on TSN’s Fan Page, Facebook and Twitter on its TV broadcast with social media correspondent Kate McKenna, according to a Bell Media release.

Sponsors for the 2012 CFL season include Wendy’s, which plays host to Wendy’s Friday Night Football, kicking off tonight at 7 p.m. Also sponsoring the season is General Motors, Mr. Lube, Nissan, Purolator, Safeway and Rona.

Also new for the 2012 season is documentary series Engraved on a Nation: Stories of the Grey Cup, the CFL and Canada. The series consists of eight original documentaries commissioned by Bell Media which celebrate the CFL and the Grey Cup’s place in Canadian history.

Advertising and sponsorship opportunities are open for the 2012 CFL season, according to a Bell Media representative.
