Bell Media has announced the launch of a new bilingual auto site, Autofocus.ca and Fr.autofocus.ca.
Featuring things like car shopping search tools for new and used cars, reviews and car news and maintenance information through articles, photos and videos, the site is targeting adults in the 25 to 54 demographic. Matt Houghton, director of digital for Autofocus, The Loop, The Comedy Network, SPACE and Bravo, tells MiC the site targets all auto enthusiasts, from first time buyers to car experts.
Autofocus builds on Bell Media’s existing auto vertical on Theloop.ca and will give users the opportunity to do things like build a “garage” profile where vehicles, contests and promotions will be suggested to site visitors based on the selections made in their profile.
Advertising opportunities on the site include IAB Rising Star ad units and the ability to buy ads next to information about a certain manufacturer’s vehicles, be it the clients or their competition, says Houghton.
