Teletoon is looking to put the fun back in fall with its recently announced lineup of new and returning series.
While Teletoon’s 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. block will still be home to a slate of family-oriented cartoon programming, its evening block will feature some new additions, including the series premiere of Annoying Orange. The show, based on the hit YouTube series, will follow the infamous fruit and his friends as they travel through space and time, and premiere Thursday Sept. 5 at 6:15 p.m., following the season three premiere of Adventure Time at 6 p.m.
Also joining the Thursday lineup is the new Teletoon original Grojband, a series about a young garage band that discovers that their lyrics suck. The show will premiere Sept. 5 at 7 p.m. and be followed by the season three premiere of Detentionaire, another Teletoon original show, at 7:30.
Wednesdays, meanwhile, have been revamped and will feature brand new episodes of DreamWorks Dragons: Defenders of Berk, starting with the second season premiere at 7 p.m. on Sept. 4. The season six premiere of Teletoon original Johnny Test will follow at 7:30. The Wednesday slate will also include new episodes of The Regular Show at 6:15 p.m. and The Amazing World of Gumball at 6:30, both premiering Sept. 11.
Fridays will be home to superheroes, with the Canadian premiere of Avengers Assemble at 8 p.m. on Sept. 6. The show will join a lineup that includes a new season of Lego: Legends of Chima at 6 p.m., the Canadian premiere of Teen Titans Go! at 6:30 and the season premiere of Ultimate Spider-Man at 7:30.
Teletoon’s weekend lineup will include back-to-back episodes of The Looney Tunes Show starting at 7 a.m. on Saturday Sept. 7, and a new season of Max Steel premiering Sunday Sept. 8 at 8 a.m.
From 9 p.m. onward Teletoon at Night will feature a lineup of shows for young adults, including Fred at Night, which has shifted to Thursdays. Kicking off Sept. 5, the Fred at Night lineup features new episodes of Futurama at 9 p.m. and classic Family Guy episodes at 9:30, followed by new episodes of Robot Chicken at 10 p.m. and Archer at 10:30. Rounding out the lineup is the season two premiere of the Teletoon original Fugget About It at 11 p.m.
Teletoon Retro will be home to two new series starting Sept. 3. Tiny Toon Adventures will begin airing Monday to Thursday at 8 p.m., while Babar will air weekdays at 9:30 a.m.
Now in its second year in Canada, the Cartoon Network kicks off its fall season Monday Sept. 2 with the series premiere of Uncle Grandpa at 8 p.m. The show will join the season five premiere of Adventure Time at 7 p.m., as well as new seasons of The Regular Show at 7:30 and MAD: The Animated Series at 8:30.
Meanwhile Thundercats, a reboot of the 80s classic, premieres Sept. 7 at 11:30 a.m., alongside a new season of Young Justice: Invasion at 10:30.
Rounding out Cartoon Network’s new programming slate are two network premieres in the Adult Swim block. The Brak Show premieres Sept. 5 at midnight, while Lucy: Daughter of the Devil premieres Sept. 8 at 10:15 p.m.
Teletoon will offer advertisers a wide variety of customized on-air, web, print, outdoor, event-based and social media opportunities, according to a representative from the channel.
