Scotiabank has announced that it is renewing and deepening its existing partnership with the CFL’s Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
The bank has been a sponsor of the team since 2005, activating with on-field and in-arena branding and providing Scotiabank customers with ticketing and merchandising offers. The core of the partnership between the two, however, is Scotiabank Game Changer, a program that showcases and rewards members of the Hamilton community who are committed to improving the city.
The renewed partnership will see Scotiabank continue the Game Changer program, and during the first eight home games of each season, one community hero will receive $1,000 to donate to a charity or non-profit organization of their choice. Scotiabank will also provide a $25,000 donation to one of the selected Game Changers at the final home game of the year.
Additionally, Scotiabank has been named a founding partner of the Ti-Cats new stadium, Tim Hortons Field, and will have a branded gate. The Ti-Cats and Scotiabank will also work together on other fan initiatives and community programs, and Gallant Law, director of sponsorships and partnerships, Scotiabank, tells MiC that the two are in talks about creating a priority entrance at the stadium for Scotiabank customers.
The renewed partnership will run through the 2016 CFL season.
