ChickAdvisor is hosting its sixth-annual ShopCrawl in Toronto on Thursday Sept. 26, this year partnering with St. Joseph Media’s Fashion magazine and Ford Canada for the event.
Ford Canada will be the presenting sponsor, using the event, which takes over Bloor St. at Yonge from 6 to 9 p.m. on Sept. 26 with discounts at area retailers like Banana Republic, Calvin Klein Underwear, Gap, Guess and H&M, to connect with its target of urban women in their late 20s to early 30s for the 2014 Ford Fiesta.
“Ford does a lot of outreach to bloggers and online media and this seemed like the perfect event to partner with the [car],” said Mike Ellis, manager of social media at Ford Canada. “ShopCrawl sounded like the type of fun, exciting event that would attract the kind of social, tech-savvy, in-the-know people who are a really good match for the Fiesta.”
Final details are still in the works, but Ellis says Ford’s activations will include a step and repeat photo wall and possible makeup touch-ups for guests at the event.
Fashion magazine will have a selection of fall trend pieces chosen by the magazine’s editors available at participating retailers the night of the event. The magazine will also promote its partnership through online advertising and e-blasts to readers, as well as through social media.
Tickets to ShopCrawl are $15 and include discounts at participating retailers, gift bags and the option to upgrade the ticket for an extra $10 to gain admission into an after party at the Bata Show Museum.
