Changes at Rogers for Next Issue Canada

Ken Whyte, who was leading the division, is now the SVP of public policy at the company, with Steve Maich now heading the digital magazine service

Rogers Media has made some changes at the top of Next Issue Canada, the all-you-can-read digital subscription service the company launched last fall.

Ken Whyte (pictured), who had moved from his post of president of Rogers Publishing and Custom Content to head up Next Issue Canada for its launch is now the SVP of public policy at the company.

Taking over as head of Next Issue Canada is Steve Maich, who also works as SVP of publishing at Rogers Media, moving into that role when Whyte moved over to the digital subscription service.

The changes to leadership at Next Issue Canada and integration of the service into the media co’s publishing side have been made in order to follow through on the new priorities for Rogers that have been laid out in its “Rogers 3.0″ plan by incoming Rogers Communications CEO Guy Laurence, according to a representative from the company.
