AOL announces more fall premiere dates

Laugh Lessons with Kevin Nealon, produced by Ellen DeGeneres' company, bows Oct. 9.

AOL is rolling out another four shows from this year’s programming slate throughout October.

All premieres are international. This season’s slate of AOL shows is sponsored exclusively by GroupM clients in Canada, with announced partners including Unilever’s Axe on Making a Scene with James Franco, Amex on My Hero and Volkswagen on Win/Win.

  • Laugh Lessons with Kevin Nealon (pictured), in which the actor asks stars like Adam Sandler and Sarah Silverman to teach comedy to kids, debuts Monday, Oct. 6 on AOL On. The 12-episode series is produced by Ellen DeGeneres’ production company, A Very Good Production.

  • Nicolecropped#CandidlyNicole‘s second season will debut Thursday, Oct. 9, and episodes will roll out weekly. The web version of the comedy, which also airs on VH1, follows the House of Harlow 1960 fashion designer on new adventures with guest appearances by Paul Scheer, Ryan Seacrest, Rashida Jones and Matt Greene and Jarret Stoll from the LA Kings.

  • The second season of Future Starts Here with Tiffany Shlain, which received an Emmy nom earlier this year, will debut on Thursday, Oct. 23. In the next installment of the series the Webby Awards founder explores topics like the neuroscience on daydreaming; the evolution of social media; and new perspectives on creativity and gender.

  • My Hero, produced by Zoe Saldana, will premiere Wednesday, Oct.24. The series follows celebrities as they do a surprise visit to a person in their past who helped change their life.

AOL also recently announced that True Trans with Laura Jane Grace is debuting Oct. 10, and Making a Scene with James Franco was unveiled last week at a screening in New York. Most shows premiere four episodes at a time with additional batches rolling out at a later date.
