OMAC announces year-end expansion

The OOH association reveals new members and a board of directors as it closes out 2014.

The Out-of-Home Marketing Association of Canada (OMAC) is closing out the year with an expansion, announcing two new members, and a new board of directors as it heads into 2015.

Clear Channel Canada and Quebecor Media Out-of-Home are joining the OOH marketing association as of Jan. 1, 2015.

Claude Foisey, VP of Quebecor Media Out-of-Home, says his company hopes to contribute to the evolution of the market with new digital products by joining the industry association.

OMAC has also announced its 2015 board of directors, with Luc Quetel, president of Astral Out-of-Home as chair of the officers of the board. Adam Butterworth, president of Clear Channel Outdoor Canada is joining as vice-chair and Randy Otto, president of Pattison Outdoor is secretary and treasurer.

Revenue for OOH advertising was up 5.5% versus the same period last year this summer, according to numbers released by OMAC. Organization president Rosanne Caron said growth was driven largely by the adoption of digital technology.
