Unilever chooses PHD for global search business

The company's digital arm, Resolution Media, will lead the business in North America, says Fred Forster, president and CEO for PHD Canada.

Consumer goods company Unilever has selected PHD’s digital arm, Resolution Media, to handle global search engine and optimization duties.

“The Unilever search is being handled by PHD on a global basis, powered by Resolution Media,” says Fred Forster, president and CEO for PHD Canada, part of the Omnicom Media Group. “It’s good to have stronger, deeper ties with a great company like Unilever.”

The news comes as Unilever is in the midst of a global media agency review, though the search account is understood to be separate from that review. 

GroupM’s Mindshare has been Unilever’s MAOR in Canada since 2010.
