Jungle Media wins Yellow Pages

The agency becomes the MAOR for the expanding digital marketing and solutions company.

Yellow Pages has signed on Toronto-based Jungle Media as its media agency of record. The company was on the hunt for an agency that offers digital and mobile expertise in local and regional markets to match its portfolio of local businesses and users, according to François Ramsay, SVP, corporate affairs, Yellow Pages.  Yellow Pages made the decision based on an invitation-to-pitch process that began in January. Until recently, the company’s media partner was Starcom MediaVest Group. In January, it announced that that it was searching for a new media relationship. The win is a big one for Jungle Media, which launched in the Canadian market five years ago.”It’s definitely one of our top three clients, right up there with IKEA and Capital One,” says Jungle SVP and and co-managing director Sheri Metcalfe. “It is a privilege to be working on a great Canadian brand with such a rich heritage as Yellow Pages.” Yellow Pages has been diversifying its traditional phone book business. Most recently Yellow Pages Home Ltd acquired two local content publications, Western Living and Vancouver Magazine from TC Transcontinental to reach the local real estate market more effectively. In November 2014 the company ran an interactive digital and OOH campaign encouraging shoppers to buy local through a customized website and an app that offered local discounts.
