OMNI sets premiere dates for new lifestyle series

The fall sked will include seven original lifestyle series including Italian cooking show L'Arte Di Cucinare.

Rogers Media’s OMNI Television revealed scheduling details for its fall lineup on Friday, which will include seven original lifestyle series.

The addition of these new original series were first announced during Rogers Media’s upfront this spring. OMNI 1 will be the home of two of the new original lifestyle series. L’Arte Di Cucinare, an Italian cooking show hosted by chef Gianni Cescia, will bow on Monday, Sept. 14 at 3:30 p.m. on OMNI.1. Nos Portuguese, which covers topic related to the Portuguese-Canadian community, will bow on Friday, Oct. 30 on OMNI Alberta at 10:30 a.m. and on Sunday, Nov. 1 at 11:30 a.m. on OMNI 1.

OMNI 2. and OMNI B.C. will premiere the original Kama Sutra, which answers questions about intimate matters in Hindi and Urdu , at 11 p.m. on Sept. 17. OMNI original Kitty Talk will bow on Sept. 12 at 3:30 p.m. on OMNI 2 and at 2:30 p.m. on the same day on OMNI B.C. and OMNI Alberta.

Afro-X, also an OMNI original, will premiere on Sunday, Sept. 6 at 3 p.m. on OMNI B.C. and at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 5 on OMNI Alberta. The original Parwaaz, which focuses on the Punjabi community in Edmonton, Alberta, will bow at 11 a.m. on Saturday. Sept. 5 on OMNI Alberta.

The second season of the OMNI original series Bollywood Star, produced by  Makan Media, will premiere at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 5 on OMNI 2, OMNI B.C. and OMNI Alberta. Rogers Media did not announce a premiere date for the original drama Blood and Water, produced by Toronto’s Breakthrough Entertainment, although did confirm the series will be added to the fall schedule.

Newly acquired programming on the OMNI lineup for this fall includes Glee China, Supernanny China, Ramayan, Planet’s Got Talent and 24 India. Glee China will bow on Sunday, Sept. 14 at 7 p.m. on OMNI 2 and the following day at the same time on OMNI B.C. and OMNI Alberta.

OMNI 2, OMNI B.C. and OMNI Alberta will premiere Supernanny China at 10 p.m. on Sunday, Sept 13. Ramayan will premiere on Monday, Nov. 9 at 2 p.m. on OMNI.2 and OMNI BC, while Planet’s Got Talent will bow at 9 p.m. on Sept. 12 on OMNI 2, OMNI B.C. and OMNI Alberta. 24 India will be broadcast for the first time on OMNI at 5 p.m. on Sept. 12 on OMNI 2, OMNI BC and OMNI Alberta.
