Matt Sweeney is the new CEO of Xaxis in North America. Promoted from his previous position as SVP, client engagement, Sweeney takes over the programmatic platform’s North America operations from Brian Gleason.

In November, GroupM  announced that it had moved Gleason into the role of global CEO of Xaxis. With this announcement the leadership void at Xaxis has been filled.

The new leader will continue to focus on expanding GroupM’s data focus using Xaxis’s proprietary technology with a goal to scale up, Sweeney stated in a press release.

Prior to his working at Xaxis, Sweeney was SVP, platforms at Crisp Media and CRO of Geeknet.
