Postmedia hires new digital chief

The publisher has hired a former travel industry exec to focus more on its B2B portfolio.

Thomas Jankowski is the new EVP and chief digital officer at Postmedia.

He has been hired in the newly created role aimed at growing the company’s B2B business.

Andrew MacLeod, EVP and CCO at Postmedia, stated in a press release that Jankowski will be in charge of Postmedia’s product, digital technology and R&D teams, with “his first focus on rapid deployment of our new B2B product portfolio.”

Postmedia has been growing its content marketing and solutions arms as it continues to see a slide in advertising and subscription revenues at its legacy news media businesses across the country.

The digital exec was formerly in the same role at Flight Network where he was headed the travel company’s marketing technology, customer acquisition, revenue management, product strategy and analytics divisions.

He is expected to start work at Postmedia in the next several weeks.
