Cieslok launches presence in Calgary market

The OOH co has partnered with Leading Outdoor to exclusively represent its digital inventory.

Cieslok Media has grown its national presence through a strategic partnership with Leading Outdoor.

The pact between the two companies will see Cieslok Media, which specializes in large-format outdoor advertising, as the exclusive sales representative for Leading Outdoor’s digital display inventory in Calgary.

The move gives Cieslok access to Canada’s fifth largest and second wealthiest market, while also expanding the company’s presence in Alberta. Last year it acquired AdQ Media based out of Edmonton, expanding its digital assets in that market and following up on its 2013 purchase of Clarity Outdoor Media, which grew its presence in both Toronto and Vancouver markets.

Jörg Cieslok, president & CEO of Cieslok Media, noted in a press release that the move is a strategic one for his company, which was aimed at continuing to grow Cieslok Media as a national player in the OOH space. 

The inventory contains two concaved digital displays, screens that measure 12 feet by 24 feet located on major roadways that lead to the city’s downtown core. The first board on Macleod Trail connects advertisers to commuters heading downtown as well as to other central locations like the Southcentre Mall and the Scotiabank Saddledome, the arena that is home to the Calgary Flames. The second display on Barlow Trail connects advertisers to commuters heading in and out of the city to the Trans Canada Highway or the Calgary International Airport.

The boards have high-quality screens built into them and can display six, 10-second ads during a one-minute loop. Social media content, day parting, real-time triggers and live photos can also be uploaded onto the screens.
