Oboxmedia signs with TuneIn

The publisher network is partnering with the male-skewing audio network in Canada.

Audio network TuneIn has a new Canadian ad representation partner, signing with Oboxmedia.

TuneIn is an audio streaming subscription service that features content ranging from radio stations to podcasts, sports and talk radio. The audio company reports more than 60 million monthly active users globally.

TuneIn’s audience skews mobile and male, with 75% of users accessing the audio network on the go, and 60% of the audience being male. The audio network had one million unique users in January, according to comScore Canada numbers provided by Oboxmedia. About half of the audiences is in the 25-to-44-year-old demographic.

Oboxmedia has an existing music partnership with audio service Deezer. Andy Querin, CRO at Oboxmedia, said the new deal with TuneIn provides his company’s clients with a larger unduplicated reach into the audio category. The publisher network has also worked with Songza and Grooveshark in the past.

Querin says that in addition to display ads, Obox can create branded content and stations for clients on TuneIn.
