AAM validates Texture’s measurement system

The company has certified the tracking methodology for the online magazine service.

The Alliance for Audited Media (AAM) has certified Texture, the digital magazine subscription service from Next Issue Media, to industry-approved measurement guidelines and standards.

The certification verifies the measurement methodology and systems used by Texture, according to the criteria outlined in the IAB’s Advertising Measurement and Auditing Guidelines and applicable Media Rating Council measurement standards.

Texture’s certification follows a recent decision to implement a new circulation category called “Multi-Title Digital Programs” within AAM. Now AAM clients that participate in Texture can report issues requested and opened by paying subscribers on the service as paid digital subscriptions on their upcoming AAM statements.

Steve Maich, SVP of digital content and publishing at Rogers Media, recently told MiC Texture currently generates more revenue than all of its print newsstand sales combined. He said that Texture has 100,000 paid subscribers.

“We have a large and highly engaged audience that continues to grow,” he said. “We’re going to turn a profit on Texture this year.”
