The Big Bang Theory holds the top spot: Numeris

The comedy on CTV was the most-watched single-night show for the week of Feb. 13 to 19, 2017.

For the second week in a row, The Big Bang Theory claimed the top spot in Canada with the highest average-minute audience (2+) of all daily shows, according to the Numeris report for Feb. 13 to 19, 2017.

Although the comedy series on CTV was the most-watched single-night program in all of the country’s English markets, its average minute audience dipped slightly from last week, coming in at 3.65 million viewers (down from 3.99 million last week).

Global’s Tuesday night line-up once again had a strong showing, with NCIS coming in second in the country at 2.3 million viewers (up slightly from 2.16 million), followed by Bull (2.03 million viewers) and NCIS: New Orleans (1.88 million viewers). CTV legal drama Blue Bloods rounded out the top five with 1.76 million viewers.

Bull and both NCIS series broke the top five in most English-speaking markets, with the exception of NCIS: New Orleans in Montreal and Toronto/Hamilton, Bull in Montreal and Calgary and the original NCIS in Edmonton.

Hockey Night in Canada (CBC/Sportsnet) also hit the top five in Toronto/Hamilton, Calgary and Vancouver.

The top shows in Quebec’s French-speaking market remained almost unchanged from last week. Sunday night reality competition series La voix (TVA) once again took the top spot with a modest increase in viewers up from last week (2.45 million up from 2.1 million) while Unité 9 (SRC), L’échappé (TVA) and Les pays d’en haut (TVA) held onto the second, third and fourth spot, respectively.
