Global unveils fall premiere dates

Corus Entertainment fills out its premier week with new ventures from Jeremy Piven, Anne Heche and Andrea Martin.

Global has rolled out the premiere dates for its new fall programming. Leaning on star power and drama, the new schedule includes shows with boldfaced names like Jeremy Piven, Debra Messing, Anne Heche and Andrea Martin.

The new shows kick off the week of Sept. 25, with heroic drama The Brave bowing that Monday at 10 p.m. Starring Anne Heche (Men in Trees) and Mike Vogel (of former Global hit Under the Dome), the show explores the world of undercover operatives.

The Monday night drama is joined by 9KJL on Oct. 2 at 8:30 p.m. That comedy stars Mark Feuerstein (Royal Pains), in a show inspired by his own life as an actor.

Tuesday night sees the addition of Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders, beginning on Sept. 26 at 10 p.m. The new true crime drama stars Edie Falco (Nurse Jackie), and examines the notorious murder case, looking at the upbringing of the Menendez brothers and issues that led them to killing their parents.

New military drama SEAL Team bows on Wednesday, Sept. 27 at 9 p.m. The show follows David Boreanaz’ character as he struggles between his personal and professional life as commander of the elite navy unit.

After eleven years off the air, new episodes of Will and Grace return on Thursday, Sept. 28 at 9 p.m. That will be followed by the new comedy Great News, executive produced by Tina Fey and starring Nicole Richie and Andrea Martin.

A remake of S.W.A.T. starring Shemar Moore joins the Thursday night lineup beginning Nov. 2 at 10 p.m.

The week of new shows closes Sunday night with the addition of Wisdom of the Crowd, which premieres Oct. 1st at 8 p.m. The drama stars Jeremy Piven (Entourage) as a father that begins the process of building an app in an effort to solve his daughter’s murder.
