IPG Mediabrands combines its digital media services

The company's search, social and mobile services will all sit under the unified Reprise umbrella.

IPG Mediabrands has put all of its digital media services under a single unit, according to a press release from the global agency group.

Reprise, Ansible and Mediabrands Society will now all function under the Reprise umbrella globally. The consolidated division will combine the search and SEO expertise of Reprise with the paid social content and creative services of Society, as well as the mobile media, UX and technology capabilities of Ansible.

In Canada, the Society brand will continue to operate independently as Society@ME within Media Experts, while the unified Reprise will continue to support UM and Initiative globally, while growing its own client base, according to the release.

Globally, Reprise will be led by Tim Ringel as Global CEO, alongside Craig Ellis, Reprise’s executive and global COO. Here in the Great White North, Matt Ramella, managing director, Reprise and digital partnerships, and Matt Sallis, managing director, accounts and performance, will lead Reprise in Canada.

“Over the past few months we’ve been [bringing together] social, search, mobile and growing capabilities in strategy, digital content and commerce to bring that all together into a new unified Reprise footprint,” says Ramella. “Ultimately we’re doing this because there’s a need in the market.”

Ramella has been with IPG MediaBrands Canada since 2016. Previously, he was with IPG’s sister agency UM since 2013. Sallis joined Reprise in late 2016. Before that he was at Catalyst Canada.

Cynthia Steele, VP client strategy, and Kevin Bishop, VP performance, round out the Canadian team for the division. The new leadership team was formed internally at the start of this year.
