Content agency Pressboard is growing its team, hiring its first VP of revenue.
Kevin Curtis, who took the role earlier this week, comes from Rogers Media, where he served as director of digital sales for the western region. He also worked as manager of advertising and brand partnerships in Western U.S. and Canada at Grooveshark.
According to Pressboard co-founder, Jerrid Grimm, the company has doubled in revenue every year since launching in 2014. And because it is projected to triple its revenue next year, the company decided to create the new role.
“We’ve been growing significantly, so it was time for us to grow the team on our brand partnership side,” Grimm told MiC, adding that Curtis will lead a brand partnership team of eight.
He will be responsible for all revenue coming in for the company from its primary markets (which include Canada and the U.S.), managing and directing a team of brand partnerships managers in Vancouver, Toronto and its New York office, as well as working with its media and creative agency partners.
Pressboard currently works with clients such as Nordstrom, Chase, Hershey’s. The Vancouver-based agency focuses mainly on buying sponsored content placements. Publishers in its network include Vox, Apartment Therapy, Kitchn and others.
