Mediacom has announced new leadership for its sports and entertainment division.
Announced Wednesday, the WPP company has named Jim Kozak to the role of VP, establishing him as the country lead for the practice.
Kozak’s leadership will support Mediacom’s client sponsorship activities, as well as work with its content division, Mediacom Beyond Advertising, on creating programming for those partners.
No stranger to senior media and advertising roles, Kozak’s most recently held a 16-month position as VP of properties and experience at global agency Wasserman, as well as senior leadership roles at CBC and Kraft Foods Group. In his new role, Kozak will report to Mediacom CEO Kevin Johnson.
The company’s sports and entertainment division launched in 2016 with a focus on sponsorship and partnership marketing, media rights negotiation, event management and grassroots marketing.
At that time, the division was headed by Chris Collie, who left the company to pursue other opportunities, according to a Mediacom spokesperson.
